Video for Podcasts & Radio

A lot of my professional experience as a videographer has been working on podcasts and radio shows, whether that be music, comedy, live talk, current affairs, true crime or gossip. I have created content for both organisations with their own design master brands, like the BBC and The Times, and have also worked on shows which have required me to create and design assets like logos and subtitling fonts. You can take a look at a selection of video I have created for podcasts and radio shows below.

The Times and The Sunday Times

The Times and The Sunday Times launched several podcasts in the last quarter of 2025, and I provided support to the creation of short-form content for two podcasts on the platform YouTube Shorts. Given my previous experience in podcasting, I created a set of templates that allowed consistent branding across the whole slate of Times' original podcasts, as content is posted across several different YouTube channels. Below, you can see my editing work on the podcasts The State of It, for Times Politics, and The Business, for Times Business.

Is Blair's Gaza Role Eclipsing Keir Starmer? #shorts

Join political heavyweights Steven Swinford, Caroline Wheeler, Patrick Maguire and Gabriel Pogrund as they give you the latest tea room tip offs, reveal insider conversations and bring analysis, authority and insight.

No party loyalty. No spin. Not hosted by some old politicians. Taking you into the real business of politics, as only those who live it can.

Should the Government Crackdown on the Gender Pay Gap? #shorts

It’s widely acknowledged that diversity is good for business, but white men still dominate the top echelons of UK companies. The pay gap, though narrowing, persists - and, across the workforce, men outearn women by 13%. So, fifty years after the Equal Pay Act came into force, why are some businesses still not taking it seriously? And what can companies do to fix it?

Audio Always

I worked as a Video Assistant Producer at Audio Always between September 2023 and January 2025, creating social media content for a myriad of podcasts and radio shows produced by the company.

BBC Radio

I regularly created content for Audio Always produced BBC radio shows, ensuring that the BBC design master brand was adhered to throughout the content, whilst also trying to be freely creative. Whilst at the company, I produced content for every national BBC radio network, examples of which can be seen here:

Elis James and John Robins (BBC Radio 5 Live & BBC Sounds)

I was the main video producer for the BBC Radio 5 Live programme Elis and John between July 2023 and November 2024. When I first started with the programme, it was a weekly live show on Friday afternoons on 5 Live. Between January and February 2024, the show went through a major revamp, becoming a BBC Sounds-first podcast, and increasing the amount of content that was released each week. This also increased video production from one 60-90 second social video per week to three per week, as well as an extended 4-5 minute piece for the BBC Sounds YouTube channel.

Elis James is getting married! Organising events does not come naturally to Elis so thank goodness lover of organisation tools, John Robins, is best man and here to relieve some of the stress by organising the stag.

The Unofficial Taylor Swift and John Robins break up song | Elis James & John Robins

Recently, Elis James and John Robins were imagining what it would be like if the world's biggest popstar, Taylor Swift, hadn't broken up with Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Alwyn and Matt Healy, but instead had dated a 42 year old comic from Bristol.

American musician and comic Charlene Kaye stepped in and with listener lyric suggestions created a hilarious and original parody, which John has described as a "two minute long character assassination".

Craig Charles (BBC Radio 6 Music)

I was the regular video producer for the Craig Charles show between September 2023 and January 2025, filming in-studio whilst live on-air with Craig and guests. One particularly rememberable moment for me whilst working on this show was filming Craig play the last ever Beatles song live on the show, a moment that was included in the 2023 Top of the Pops Review of the Year.

Make Me A Mixtape (BBC Radio 1)

Make Me A Mixtape for BBC Radio 1 and BBC Sounds was a commission at Audio Always which saw me in the studio procuring time stamps for social media clips, and then editing together 4-5 minute packages for the Radio 1 YouTube for a couple of those episodes.

Audio Always Originals

I was simultaneously the regular video producer for around 5 or 6 in-house original podcasts whilst at Audio Always. In this role I would be in contact with the audio producer of the podcasts to get the best moments from the episode, and create social media content based off of this. I would produce 3 or 4 social media clips for each podcast per week, and was also managing the social media channels of these podcasts, deciding what content to post and when. Below is a snapshot at some of the content I created for some of the podcasts I worked on at Audio Always.

Lu Featherstone on trying new things

People always ask Lu Featherstone whether she’s a ‘divorce influencer’ - she’s not! And you don’t have to blow your life up in the way that she did to find happiness. But she wants women to know that they shouldn’t feel like they’re ‘just someone’s wife’. Hear Hear! 🙌Lu gives us permission to do something brave today!

Fuse FM

My first foray into video production in podcasting and radio shows was whilst at university, where I hosted my own show on the student-run radio station, Fuse FM. I increased the marketing of the show online by producing social media clips of the conversations I had with guests whilst on-air.
